It was the spring of 1993 when I came across a large, black and white pic of Hack Wilson of the Chicago Cubs. Hack Who? Here I was a Cubs fan and had never heard of him. Was he good? And if so, how good? Yes, he was good, and one of his ML records still stands today (191 RBIs in 1930). Suffice to say, my knowledge of baseball, pre-1960s was quite thin.

I began CSJ in the spring of 1993 - long before personal computers and essential websites like baseball-reference.com, football-reference.com, and basketball-reference.com began.  Thanks to those sites and others, my sports world - and yours - just got bigger and better.
