Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl Championship Season

       Mike Ditka's team was primed for this – he had Hall of Famers on both sides of the ball: Covert and Payton on offense, Hampton, McMichael, Dent, and Singletary on Buddy Ryan's record-breaking defense. And the outcome was never in doubt: a rout on Super Bowl Sunday. Club included controversial QB ('Punky" Jim McMahon) and a "refrigerator" sized defensive lineman, the club met all expectations - save for a tough loss to Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins deflating the Bears chances to end the season undefeated. Sad news: They only "shuffled" this one season.
