History of the NBA: 2024-25 Season

       Let's start with this: The US Mens Olympic basketball team beat France to bring home the gold!

       And this: Only 1 of 6 Division winners made it to the Finals (Indiana had the 4th best record in the Eastern Conference); one of NBA's elite defensive players passed away; star father & rookie son began playing for the same team in LA; big mid-season trade: Jimmy Butler with GSW; Luka Doncic became a Laker.

       Not done yet! Another monster year for Denver's Nikola Jokic (29.6/12.7/10.2); the Sixers struggled, the Pistons rose; it was the 1st time since 1978-79 the SGA-lead Oklahoma Thunder won their 2nd NBA championship. 

Changes! All-Star Game now a 4-team tournament; Boston and LA franchises under new ownership; after 25 years sharing the same court with the Lakers, the Clippers moved into their own home.

Records: we have a few, including the Pistons breaking an NBA playoff record for consecutive losses (15).
