History of the NBA: 2024-25 Season

Only 1 of 6 Division winners made it to the Finals (Indiana had the 4th best record in the Eastern Conference). The US Mens Olympic basketball team beat France to bring home the gold; one of NBA's elite defensive players passed away; star father & rookie son began playing for the same team in LA; big mid-season trade: Jimmy Butler with GSW; Luka Doncic became a Laker; another monster year for Nikola Jokic (29.6/12.7/10.2); Sixers struggled, Pistons rose; First time since the 1978-79 season the SGA-lead Oklahoma Thunder won their 2nd NBA championship. 

Changes! All-Star Game morphed into a 4-team tournament; Boston and LA franchises under new ownership; after 25 years sharing the same court with the Lakers, the Clippers moved into their own home.

Records: Lots of shots from behind the arc...setting records for baskets and misses; Pistons broke an NBA playoff record for consecutive losses (15).
